As you venture deeper into the Shadow-Cursed Lands, you come across a peculiar scene - Warrior Gronag attempting to play fetch with a hyena at the edges of an Absolute cultist camp. The hyena, seemingly underweight and fearful, is being used by Gronag to test the effects of the shadow curse. Your presence doesn't go unnoticed, and the party's approach from Rosymorn Monastery Trail attracts the attention of the awaiting Minthara.

As you observe the situation, you notice that the hyena appears to be a victim of abuse from its goblin owners, and it seems to be under some sort of mind control or influence. Gronag is trying to persuade the hyena to fetch a bone, but without success. The Absolute cultists are observing the scene with interest, seemingly eager to see if the shadow curse will take effect.

You realize that you have a choice to make - intervene and try to free the hyena from its predicament or let events unfold as they may. If you decide to approach Gronag, you can choose to persuade or intimidate him to release the hyena, or even attempt to reason with it using Animal Handling skills. Alternatively, you can opt to let the scene play out, allowing the hyena to potentially become shadow-cursed.

However, be warned - if you don't intervene, the hyena will likely run into the bushes and become cursed, adding another layer of danger to your journey through the Shadow-Cursed Lands. The fate of this innocent creature is in your hands; will you choose to help it or let it fall prey to the darkness that surrounds you?
